The EU funded project providing support to the coordination and implementation of the Bosnia and Herzegovina’s National Youth Policy (EUNYP) is launching a series of training programmes in project development, fundraising and youth municipal strategy development, offered free of charge to the participants.
Sarajevo, 11 August 2012 – On the occasion of the International Youth Day, 12 August, the EUNYP project is happy to announce the series of training programmes that will be delivered free of charge in:
1. Developing projects and project proposals in the context of the EU youth strategy;
2. Fundraising opportunities;
3. Development of Municipal Youth strategy: drafting and implementation tool.
“The improvement of the position of youth in BiH, which is the ultimate objective of the EUNYP project, requires greater involvement from the youth NGOs into the civic society capacity building projects, better quality of implementation of youth policies at all levels of authority and stronger networking among all stakeholders” says Ms. Lola Lyberopoulou, the Project Director. “This training is therefore addressing areas identified as insufficiently developed to come closer to that end.”
The main target group for participation in this training programme are members of the youth NGOs and officers in charge of the implementation of youth policies at municipal and cantonal levels across Bosnia and Herzegovina. The training sessions will be implemented in ten training spots across the country in the period from October 2012 to June 2013. All potential beneficiaries are strongly encouraged to visit the project website www.youthpolicy.ba that provides more information about the training modules, the selected training spots and the application procedures.
The Main Partner of the Project, the Commission for the Coordination of Youth Issues in Bosnia and Herzegovina (CCYI) fully monitors and supports all the project related activities and stands actively involved in the design and implementation of the trainings to be carried out.
EU funds this project through the Instrument from Pre-Accession Assistance (IPA 2008) in the amount of 606,000 euro. The EUNYP project aims at improving the position of youth in Bosnia and Herzegovina through the creation of the appropriate conditions for better and more efficient dialogue and more functional coordination among the stakeholders responsible for youth issues in BiH. The Project started on 9 January 2012 and will last until the end of December 2013. It is implemented by a Consortium led by EEO Group S.A. in association with EPRD Ltd, Particip Gmbh and OKC.
